Different make front tyres
 
Just a quick one , dealer changed a front tyre for me , it is a different make to the other 4 tyres , I am feeling a slightly more pull to the left ( right hand drive ) also a bit of tram lining going on , they said they did not have the same make in stock but this one was very similar and same size , am I being fudged ?

I've had different tires on beaters, (back in the '60s), and diff front tires from rear, but never a diff left vs right front tire brand, on any car...I would hunt up a pair of front replacements, hopefully same brand as rear. Your dlr is either delusional or less informed than Buffy driving a minivan, imo.

You are being fudged. If this was a warranty issue and they are responsible, make them replace all 4 corners that match. Had this happen with friends and the deer took care if it.

Keep in mind the replacement should have a * on it which means it is BMW approved.

Abnsolutely. This is a safety issue. They can order the proper tire (same exact model) or they can take the tire back and you can get your own. (Obviously get the new tire and have it installed first!)

Get out YOUR OWNERS MANUAL and read what it says,

guidelines and uses appropriately trained personnel.<

Center for the correct wheel/tire combination.
The correct wheel/tire combination also affects
various systems whose function would otherwise
be impaired, e.g. ABS, DSC, xDrive,
Dynamic Performance Control in the BMW X6,
or Flat Tire Monitor.
To maintain good handling and vehicle
response, use only tires of a single tread configuration
from a single manufacturer. Following
tire damage, have the original wheel and tire
combination remounted on the vehicle as soon
as possible.
So BMW says, directly, not to mix tires....your dealer CANNOT override this recommendation.

I've got to tell you that this is really an astonishing act by a dealer- this is something I'd have said was impossible at a BMW dealer.

Agree, preferably should have same tires on all 4, but at least identical on each axle.
