Help!

Can someone post again how to check if the water pump is failed. Seen that before but can't find it now.

Thanks.

Generally, in order of occurrence:

temperature goes to red, steam pours out of the hood, and engine seizes.

This may not be exactly what you'll looking for, but likely more useful than the above. You can manually engage pump (done as part of the coolant flush procedure):
Quote:

set the heater to max, turn the heater fan to min, and without starting the engine, bring on the ignition, while holding the accelerator pedal in the fully depressed position for 10 seconds.
If the pump doesn;t start, it's probably kaput.

Thank you very much Price. Tried it and can only hear a very weak humming & ticking noise, checked at the reservoir and found no circulation. No boiled over or steaming. Towed to the dealer. Thanks again.

what made you think the water pump failed in the first place?

Seems odd to question your water pump out of the blue....

Aux cooling was on then received an warning message in yellow said that engine temp was high, no steam, coolant level was up to the nose. Suspecting no coolant circulation.
