X5 3.0D Brakes saga - continued

Hi All,
Did my brakes all ok... after busting my gut trying to undo caliper carrier bolts to replace the Rotor... funny star shaped bolt but luckily a 14MM socket fitted and did the job ... Thanks to Richard at AutoPro in Gosford on the Central Coast, NSW, Aus.... this man deserves a medal for his customer service.... not sure how many Auss viewers there are on this forum but I have to give this man a free "plug" absolutely great customer service... enough said.
However just before starting the big "brake job" - front and back brakes (rotors et all) Mr X5 decided to throw another curve ball.... as I parked the car got "Park Brake Malfunction" light come on... I thought that it might have had something to do with the fact that all pads were very low.... yeah, I know I'm wrong. After the job was done the Park Brake is still malfuntioning......... any ideas?:dunno:
It did make a weird noise when I stopped and the Xmas tree lights on the dash.... not tackling this job... off to the dealer soon. In the meantime I'll keep a 4x4 piece of wood in case of downhill parking is needed
Thanks Hans

Do a search here and on bimmerfest... The actuator is the likely culprit. I seem to recall a few threads, one with DIY and pictures.
