if the SA is nice he will document 'there is a leak, but we cannot find it- drive the car for XX months are monitor performance'. That way it will be covered in the future.

My freon was completely out 2 months ago. I brought it to the dealer and was told they needed to refill freon with dye, it will cost me $290 if nothing is leaking. I had the independent mechanic refilled the freon with dye at the time. Two weeks ago i brought it to the dealer for some other service, i mentioned that i an issue with my a/c. They were able to detected the leak from evaporator and replaced it under cpo.
