Couldn't wait for 2014 Diesel to come out (my lease ends in July), so ordered 2013 35d today. Specks below. Production starts next week, so I have until monday to finalize exterior color. Deciding between Black Saphire and Deep Sea Blue.... :dunno:

I am happy with power performance of D, and the relative economy I get with it. I used to have 2008 4.8i, thus was a bit more fun, but with 16K I drive per year, it gets expensive... Not to mention I need the range per tank, it helps.

Besides, 5.0 with same options gets in 80K+, there are no eco credits etc... So the lease would cost me $200+ more per/mo.

So i've settled with Deep Sea Blue... Black Saphire is nice too, but too many black cars on the road, and they all look like bad a#s. That is not me character-wise, thus DSB is better choice at this point. Hey, it is a lease after all, i dont need to make a life-long committment ;)

Congrats! - I would only suggest the nappa leather dashboard and a wood trim on top of that, I love mine :) I'm happy with the performance of my 40D, and mine is all black (literally, everything that could be painted black, was painted black, or tinted) But that suits me best :) I was not happy with the way my old X looked until I painted my wheels and trim black, but an ///M kit in black looks $&!£.

Again, the only one thing I can complain about is the price - your paying almost half of what I paid. Next time I'm going to get the X6 ///M From the US and import it to the UK. I'm sick of looking at the price difference :D And I would prefer a Left Hand Drive car in the first place - I can actually use it when I go abroad, or import it somewhere else, and LHD cars have much better re-sale prices that RHD cars in the UK.

Don't even breathe on that brushed aluminum trim. I loved the contrast with the black interior, but it dings and scratches really easy. I have piano black now and miss the look of the aluminum.

Thanks L and all. Yeah I am aware of the aluminum being high maintenance, but I do like contrast with black and blue... Closest to ///M color wise as it can get ;)

Love your build. Your interior is identical to mine. I make sure not to let anything touch the aluminum trim though. Looks spectacular.

It is in production and will complete March 14th... If history of any lesson, I will get it delivered to me on or about Monday the 18th, which is about 2 weeks since ordering!

At Final Processing Center... It might arrive at the dealer today, with pickup on Monday.

I think they use VPC down here in Port Of Newark - same place which receives shipments from the plant in Munich. That VPC is 15 mi away from my dealer. My previous two X5s came through that.
