great looking wheels, OZ are good quality and light... but for some reason they only make them with the bore size (center hole) of the X5M :(

5x120 - 20x8.5 offset 30mm
and
5x120 - 20x10 offset 38mm

Avant Garde also has ET 20 for the 20 x 10 wheel - my setup is:

REAR - 20 x 10 - ET 20
FRONT - 20 x 10 - ET 38

I am out in the rear 6MM (.23 inches) more than the stock 214 rear wheels.

And, compared to X5M Style 299 wheels in rear size 20" x 11" (ET35) I am only out 3MM more (.11 inches).

With the extended arches it should look right - right now the rears (with stock wheel arches) sit out too far.

The center bore could be easily changed for the OZs. What weight is the OZ wheel in the picture?

I bought the Avant Garde's from Need4Speed and they adjusted the center bores on the 20 x 10 that are ET 20 - it was not a big deal.

I love the OZ

The center bore I think it bigger on the X5M, so I understand they can enlarge the center bore, but don't think they can reduce :(

33lbs and 34lbs per wheels... not too bad, even thought the avant garde 30lbs is even better, but I could verify that number..n no weight specs on the avant garde website..not very professional.

Actually, the center bore for an X5M rear wheel is 72.4. If you take an X5M rear wheel and want it to fit a standard X5 (Non M) it can be honed out to 74.0 like the fronts.

That is exactly what Need4Speed did for me with the rear Avant Garde wheels- the ET 20 (ideal fit for 10" wheel) rears only come from Avant Garde with a center bore of 72.4. If you want the OZ wheels all you need to find is a reputable wheel company that offers ths service and you are good to go. It took Need4Speed only one additional day to process my order because of the need to machine my rear wheels from 72.4 to 74.

The wheels installed and balanced out perfectly, so I wouldn't hesitate to do it again as long as you use a reputable wheel vendor.

thanks for the X5M specs, this very helpful.

So your avant garde offset are actually more aggressive (smaller number means sticking more outward) than the X5M. I assume this is because your rear is only 10" wide instead of the 11" of the X5M.

I'd love to see picture from other members sharing their wheel offset. This is really the tricky part with any car. Stock is always too ugly conservative, but too little of an offset and the wheel stick out too much and you get all road debris spitting on your side body panels...

I wonder if tirerack can work on the bore of the OZ wheels :) I'll check it out.

I agree, a smaller number, or reducing the offset pushes the wheel outward.

To figure out exactly where the Avant Garde Wheels sit compared to an X5M:

Rears
X5M wheels Rear - 20" X 11" wide - ET 35
Avant Garde Rear - 20" x 10" wide - ET 20

Two things are happening:
1) wheels are 1" less wide so this would pull the wheel inwards by 1/2 of this distance, or 1/2" or 12.7 MM inwards

2) The offset is 15 MM less so this moves the wheel outwards

Combining #1 and #2 we have 12.7 inwards and 15 mm outwards so net movement outwards = 2.3MM or .09 inches.

Fronts
X5M front wheels - 20" X 10" wide - ET 40
Avant Garde front - 20" x 10" wide - ET 38

So the reduction of offset is 2 mm, which moves the front wheel outwards by 2 MM or .08 inches

Conclusion: The Avant Garde M510 wheels are a little less than one tenth of an inch further outwards compared to a stock X5M
