Aero Kit (ebay replica) with hitch cut out

11 Attachment(s)
I finally finished installing the aero kit with the cut out for the oem hitch. I hated the large opening that came with the oem hitch. This remedied that problem nicely! Thought I share some pictures.

Got some help from fellow member BALX5. THANKS!

Looks good.
It's hard to be sure from the pics but it seems like you've blocked access to the pin and harness connector. Is the hitch still usable or do you not plan on using it anymore?

My thoughts, exactly.

There's actually a 7th trim piece that suppose to go right below the hitch. I DID NOT install it to leave the opening (about 1 ft long) for access to the pin and harness connector. So I can still use the pin and hitch for my bike rack. I don't plan on towing anything so I'm leaving the harness connector where it is. I think others have relocated the harness connector for easy access without much effort.

I think you should have went a little higher on the top end of the cut out. It looks kind of hob-jobish as is. I suppose you can't tell if you have that Texans cap on it, though.

Yea, I thought about cutting it a little higher on the cut out, but it doesn't bother me enough to re-cut. I hate seeing the hitch opening with all that rust on it, so I usually have the Texans cap on there when I'm not using my bike rack. here's what it looks like underneath. There's still plenty of room to access the pin. The cap on the harness connector doesn't open all the way as is. It looks like it can be relocated easy enough if the time comes.

Great job Lord and added the hitch for more complexity. PM me if you like some tips on adjusting the rear panels as I had to do readjust a couple of times to get it aligned with no gaps.
