Crossbar help? ROLA or Whispbars?
 

I was looking to get a set of cross bars to mount snowboards/skis and luggage on top of my X5. I really like the low profile look of both the Whispbars and ROLA sets but I was not sure what kind to get, (I'm thinking the S46 whispbars but not sure on the ROLA system. I was also wondering if these have enough clearance for the Sharkfin and for the tailgate to fully open with things on top of the vehicle?

any help guys?

I had Rola bars in the past and liked them. Support was poor. I tried to get some replacement rubber and could not. I now have BMW bars and am happy. I would stick with a major brand that has good support.

I din't know about clearance, but a friend of mine works for Yakima and I've seen a lot of their stuff. If I were to get bars it would be Whispbars for sure. They're really nice.
