Yes! A competent body shop will perform excellent work. You don't need a new bumper. The bumper currently on your car will just be filled/repaired, sanded, prepped and repainted. It shouldn't cost you more than $300-400 for that.

Take it to Jeffersons in Manhasset. They're right by the LIRR train station, you can drop it off and be back in NYC in 30 minutes. They do great work, been in business for 40 years.
