AC problems on 2007 X5.. FSR
 

I am trying to find a video or pic illustrated procedure to replace the FSU/FSR .
Google everything but they have for E39 and X5 2006 models not 2007 E70.

having problems not blowing enough Cold Air when AC is engaged, if I disengage AC then the AIR blow very fast from front vents, freon looks OK and I even fill some more.
Having this issue for almost 1 yr now. Air is cold but not blowing enough ..
Thinking that my AC Blower Resistor need replacement.. but without AC the Air comes out super fast ?? hope its the FSR nothing else..

I know its under the passenger side Glove compartment but cant locate it correctly.

I don't see this as an FSR issue. I cannot see how a/c on/off would affect the blower speed in any way. Other than to think "auto" mode is controlling the fan and then when you turn a/c off, you take the IHKA out of auto mode and fan ramps up to last manual setting.

Just asking, have you checked the I-drive settings to make sure that it set correctly?

so you are saying that it should not be in auto mode on I-drive setting.

Its real strange when i push snowflake button the Fan speed lost like 50% but if I turned off AC then the Fan blows full speed.

i will check again my i-drive settings. Do you know what exactly it should be set for.

Don't have my X any more, but there are controls in I-drive that let you adjust airflow source and temp and IIRC speed of fan (I think there are three modes for the fan speed in Auto - one of which is "quiet mode" and slows fans down). Can't recall but it may also just be pushing auto mode button a few times....can't remember exactly but there is a control....when all else fails - take a look at the manual, it should be in there.
