those who got the free flashlight
These came with the E70 - at least back in '08 they did. Anyone figure out how to open it to replace the battery? There's a slot to stick a screwdriver in but I've tried pulling/wedging and turning both ways but it won't budge. The rear scored section does not actually open - think it's for looks. I see LED LENSER marked on it but their website doesn't have this particular model (tried to match the pics).

I didn't get a free one but I bought one. It just unscrews and then 3 AAA batteries in a holder just slide out for easy replacement. That's what mine did.
Looking at your pic, the battery pack part has been been pushed way too much into the bottom. My black plastic plate and copperish button is flush with the top of the bottom piece. I can push it down against the spring. |
thanks! it was corroded and I had to bang it on a desk hard to get it to come out but that helped in telling me it was the way to go. Back in business.

If these lights are anything like my E60 lights.. they are crap and not worth it..
Pick up a nice surefire or Fenix LED flash lights that are useable. |
you can get 6-pack for $10 on Amazon - without BMW logo, who sees in dark anyway :)
