front Driver side bumper cracked on my 2009 x5, anyone in NYC manahttan, know where I can get it replaced and painted, BMW of Manhattan is charging me $2900.00, I don't want to use my insurance as this is $1000.00 deductible and I know insurance will go up. remember bumper on 2009 is connected to side fender, all this is One Piece.

Are the blending into the hood and driver door? Seems reasonable for a perfect job...,

Or are they fixing tat bummer?

You DID get an itemized body shop estimate, right? What are they proposing?

BMW on 57 st, stated is $1000.00 for the replacement bumper/fender, and there $1900 for Labor and Painting. Since the bumper is cracked they recommend replacing, not fixing it. What you think?

SAM's Autobody, by the foot of the BKLYN Bridge on the BKLYN side. Many positive reviews online.

I have used them once before for my X3 which was BANGED up real bad rear right corner, $1500 all in. Never go to the stealers for body work unless others are paying for it, na mean?

Do they do mechanical work, or engine work too. Are they a BMW repair shop. Reason i ask, is cause my car is rough on the street bumps, and when i am driving car seems to pick up speed and slow down. I have an after market warranty I would like to use with them

Sorry I have not taken or call them, been busy with work, gotta take a day off. i will keep you posted. Quick question, do you know if they replace entire bumper? As mine is cracked.. or will they patch it, and if they do patch it, will it still like new?

Sam will probably give you two options, depending what you want to do:

1) replace it (the proper way), do it up real good, but expensive.
2) patch it up and paint, good enough to pass the lease turn in, cheaper.

My X3 was a lease, so the least amount it took to get it back to returnable condition was what I chose.

Thanks I think i will go with 1, as this is finance. But either way, 1 with sam is cheaper than bmwnyc correct
