Turn signal Light
 

My driver side turn signal on the fender is doing a weird hyper flash when I press the alarm or turn signal. I was wandering how do I get to the light bulb?? Anyone can tell me how much for the bulb??

is it THE only light doing "hyper" flash? in other words, the hyper flash is indicative of a burnt bulb on the circuit, like front or rear turn signal bulb...

if i remember correctly, the plastic housing for the side light is held in place by a tension of a "spring"... so, you push the housing to left or to the right and pry it out... i have to check to see, if it is to the left or to the right - but there is nothing difficult to it...

Yes only that one bulb hyper flash. I see you have a E53, is it the same procedure for the E70 mention above.

the principle for the side light has been the same from the age of E32, 34, 36 and on... not to say that in the newer bimmers there would not be a motorized tray coming out!!! lol... like in the glove compartment...

on my 09, it is not a bulb. The procedure mentioned above is the same on mine. I've wanted to change it from amber to white and unfortunately, it's not a bulb. it's a circuit board with an led. I would suspect you'd need to replace the whole thing.

Is your X still under warranty? I've had bulbs replaced under warranty...I know I can do it, etc...but was easier and I got my car washed which was nice too.
