How do I remove the rear camera?
 

I have a 2009 X5 with a rear view camera only. It is mounted above the license plate and I'm getting a camera error except the camera works fine. I think it might be corrosion. Can someone tell me how to remove that camera so I can clean the contacts? Thanks

this is all I have that may help... 2nd-to-last page says rear camera has 2 screws once you get to it (probably don't have to remove anyway)... perhaps the removing trim panels doc helps get you there.

Thanks. I got to it today but the contacts all looked fine. I shot some wd40 in there just in case but it made no difference

I have a spare working camera, if you're near Gaithersburg on weekdays I can let you try it.
