Looking for an E70 radiator replacement DIY
I'm seeking a good DIY for an E70 Radiator replacement. I've found this similar on one the E60 boards, and am looking for any advice on what changes to expect with the E70 procedure.

Ok so I took the time to take pics this weekend in the hopes of writing up a good diy. The wife came out and saw me taking pics while i was working and asked. At the time I was changing the serp belt so I told her i take a pic of the current belt to make sure i have it correctly re-installed. Well she took some pictures for her dog training and stuck her head outside while I was finishing up and asked if I was done. At that point I was and was just cleaning up. So she proceeded to delete all the pics I took... :explode:
Needless to say, if you are going to change the rad it is very simple to get everything out of the way to do it. There is a folding tab on the electric cooling fan on the drivers side that makes it easier to get it our rather than trying to force it by the rad hose (nice update from the old model). Hoses are a snap. Only thing I wouldn't be 100% sure if there are any tranny lines going to the rad. Other than that, just take your time and it shoildn't be too bad. |

I'm ready to buy..one of those above, not sure which because I've only read about Behr. Can't find a lot of info on Koolman or the JSD one. The prices are appealing, but not if the radiator cracks after 1000 miles. But back to the topic at hand, I got under the hood and still can't figure out which screws need to come out and exactly how to lift out the current radiator. Anyone with pics and/or detailed instructions? It would be so much appreciated. |
is yours leaking? or are you just doing preventative maintenance?
