Trunk open/close
 

Have a'13 with comfort access and could swear I got the trunk to close remotely. Am I smoking or...?

i have this coded on my x5 to work....so it can work, but from factory it SHOULDNT.
hold the trunk open button for a long hold, like 1 whole second.
if it doesnt work than you can get it coded easily. i can even close mine while moving! (havent found any use for this besides when i am a getaway driver and my bank robber buddy can jump into the trunk as we speed off)

A prior owner may have coded it, and a BMW dealer re-coded it to factory settings...

the new owner of my previous '08 X5 I traded might also be wondering how he is able to close the rear hatch, fold the mirrors, close windows and close sunroof by just using the remote......:thumbup:

Like Ard said, if you bought a preowned then it might have been coded by the previous owner to do what you just mentioned.

no no no i mean i thought when i bought it (few weeks ago) that i was able to do the close of the trunk but as of this weekend i cant so maybe i was imagining wishful thinking that it works since my ML has it. OH WELL, its a lease and the wife will be doing most of driving so i'm a bit cautious not to mess with anything. do you guys know if this can however be coded on a 2008? a friend has one and may like it

Thanks.I even have registration on that forum,but didnt log in for a long time.I have already coded door lock with the remote,double warning lights and others,but couldnt find the exact name of the function for the trunk close.
I am still parting the diesel,yeah.I need to recover at least part of my loss by selling the parts.
