5 Attachment(s)
These pics are of euro spec E70. you can see that the badges are deleted, the front lights got clear corners and the rears got the amber turn signals as opposed to red one for US specs...

4.8?

TerminatorX5 03-25-2014 12:23 PM

they must be V8s, in order to haul all that added weight... so, either 4.8 or 5.0s...

Matyoka 03-25-2014 01:55 PM

Looks like they are going through Rambo's hometown LOL

MRV99 03-25-2014 02:58 PM

judging on the front and rear bumper, it is an LCI version which would have the 4.4TT or 50i designation.

TerminatorX5 03-27-2014 12:02 PM

here is the VIN info on one of these - they are 5.0s

The bulletproof version? So sick. Btw, badge being deleted doesn't mean it's European. That's a choice. Mine has the badge.
Does anyone know why the American models have the orange reflexes on the front fenders? They're not actual blinking turn signals, right?

TerminatorX5 02-04-2015 12:20 PM

The badge deletion of course does not mean it is a Euro version, it is an line on the order sheet that you can check off... The badges are deleted as part of the purpose of these type vehicles, as to "downplay" their power abilities.

the US DOT rules require that there a yellow reflector in the front quarter of the car, thus the yellow reflectors. Rear quarter is supposed to have a red reflector. No simultaneous Fog light and high beam operation. Front turn signal to be yellow. Rear turn signals can be yellow or red (I hate red turn signals on the back!)

Interesting, thanks for the info. I've never minded the red turn signals on the back... I've always hated the yellow reflectors though. But that's just me.
What do you mean by the front lights having clear corners?

^^^ Look at the last picture in the first post. Those are clear corner headlights as opposed to the North American version with amber reflectors.

I too don't like clear or red rear turn signals. I installed European export taillights and headlights on my M5. I haven't fitted the round amber lenses to the headlights yet.
