JL Stealthbox for E70
 

I've searched for threads and found nothing of any substance. Anybody heard one of these installed? Im usually anti prefab and its expensive but the pros may outweigh the cons on this one if it sounds good. Probably push it with the 500 x 1 JL amp. Adding to prem audio.

I have never heard the box in a X5, but I did install one of these in my fiance's Grand Cherokee. The bass that it puts out is amazing, nice and tight no rattle. The amp used to push her's is a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D 500W RMS Monoblock Single Channel Class D Prime Series Amplifier.

The amp fit the parameters of the stealth box perfectly, 500 watts RMS specs, but from the factory it was tested up to 623 watts RMS. If you want great sound in a tight package I recommend this setup for your X5 as it's a compact amp. Either way the stealthbox was a great set up no matter what you use to drive it.

I finally got around to putting mine in.. Putting an mp and box i nthe e70 is about as easy as it gets. I used a Sony 500 watt rms mono amp and that little guy pounds. It takes a day or two to break in the woofer but it goes deep and clean. Really, really happy with it. Im still playing with the filter points and gains to get it just right for the widest variety of music. Got me out here rolling like a teenager again and I love it.

Hey, did you get the same JL box from crutchfield or something else?

I'm debating on if I should go pre-fab or maybe try to make a box to fit in the spare tire area (I have the run flats and no spare tire)

I ordered directly from jl. Sounds like they build to order which is why nobody seems to have it in stock. Jl initially gave me a ship date 30 days out but I actually received it the following week from order date.

Stealth box worked so good in my E53 I'm going to get it for my E70 for sure. I just saw there is a JL Stealth Mod for the E70 too! Has anyone had experience with that?

i have it, its great.
very glad i reclaimed the trunk space that my 2x 10" JLs were takingup.
only issue i have is that the bracket did not line up but the sub sits very snug so it doesn't wobble.
maybe the screw down bracket is for preLCI and my truck is LCI
