New dashes
I do not like the direction BMW is going with their new dashes and consoles. They are very choppy and the components look like after thoughts. They do not look like well thoght out integrated systems. Had a 328 loner today and I couldn't believe how ugly the dash was. I love my '07 x5 but it will be my last until BMW drastically improves their interior design.

I think it's just the entry-level 3-series they do it to. Note the extra dash insert just outside the temp control.

Wow, they dumped the crazy split door glove box design for the F15. Looks nice enough to me.
I wonder how you would be able to see anything on that screen in direct sunlight? |
the 3 series looks good

I like the e70 more than the f15's. The 528 looks good to me :)

Funny, I think the split glove box design (complete with hidden button) was one of the more modern and exotic aspects of the e70 interior. I was in my friend's F15 last week and the new glove box is definitely a low point of the sleek new interior. Now it looks and operates just like Honda's...clunky! Look for Honda to start using the split design...given that BMW is now done with it. Sad, really. |
agreed, but range rover / range rover sport have the best split glove box design. where you have to separate glove boxes. very nice features. i miss it because i would keep parking passes and other paperwork up top and the general nonsense in the bottom. now everything is mixed together and cluttered.
