Has anyone fitted Arnott rear air springs?
Hi, I was working on our car yesterday and I noticed the rear air springs are showing wear and need replacing. They are £420 a pair from BMW and Arnott UK dealers do them at around £360 a pair.
For people that don't know Arnott is an American company that manufacture air suspension products, there bags are made by continental. https://www.arnotteurope.com/p-4228-arnott-rear-air-spring-07-13-bmw-x5-e70-09-14-x6-e71-left-or-right.aspx Just wondered if any one has Arnotts fitted? |
Hi,
I have. 1 of mine went about a month ago on the M11 managed get it home. The Arnott bags use Continental rubber, nice quality. I purchased a pair i've only replaced one side keeping the other as a spare when it goes. Took no time at all to do it :) |

I have a copy of BMW TIS and they de-charged the system via there diagnostics computer before they remove the bags. |

You can remove some of the air by removing the adjusting link and moving the sensor so it removes majority of the air that way. Its only couple 10mm nuts |
I did mine by cutting the old airbags...its pretty easy job if you have another guy to help you to guide you in the cargo area when fitting the new ones.

You can loosen the air hose fitting at compressor side as per Arnotts instruction. But you need to open a panel located the under the car (right side).
