Enybody seen performance strips on the x5 before? google it and only seen on the x6

Too flashy

I have them on my X6 but BMW does not make a "kit" for the X5. Any custom graphics/sign company could duplicate for an X5 though.

I actually had these on my e53 but it was sooo darn fast I couldn't control it (and I'm an advanced DE driver). So I got rid of them and the beast slowed to a manageable pace. Whew, I still feel like I dodged a bullet there.

^^^ Actually, it generally is imo...based upon reading here for a decade.
Maybe the performance stripes deal just didn't elicit the replies you expected/wanted.

The E53 forum is pretty good, this one not so much IMO. Maybe the E70 is just too new to have enough real work and modifications being done to generate the forum traffic.

And yeah, my reply was smart-a$$ but only because you used the word "performance" which did make me laugh when associated with "stripes".

I'm not aware of any stripes and I've never seen any on any X5. But I live a sheltered existence.

E53s have come down in price and can be afforded by younger people who like to put "performance stripes" (some even call this 'modding').

E70s still are owned by higher income and more mature folk. Hence no interest in stripes and other such "mods".

Not a site or forum expert, but I have the Xoutpost page set to show Today's Posts vs following an individual sub forum.

I log in, click on Today's Posts and there are pages of threads every day...of course if one just wants to read E53 or E70, et al, that is their choice, but even reading Today's Posts doesn't usually take more than several mins a day.
