Transmission, transfer case, both differentials
 

Its a 2010 X5 48i, currently it has 109k. Sometimes the transmission on 1 and 2 gear it shift pretty rough. What type of oil does the transmission, transfer case, and differentials use? Where can I buy them from?

Same advice as that other forum:

Buy the BMW fluids and replace. No need to get fancy. Many people will give all kinds of "royal purple is the best" or "redline is much better".

Buy the BMW fluids.

Now, for YOU, I suggest you FIRST do an ATF change. Search. This is being actively discussed here and on BF.

What kind of fluid? How?

BMW Fluid is ZF Lifeguard6. USE ONLY THIS FLUID. It isnt cheap.

With over 100k miles your fluid will be bad. consider doing it twice.

Here is the cheapest place for OE/OEM parts:

Oil change kit for 6HP26/28/32

You can add 6 liters for $20 per liter or so.
