CIC Retrofit X5 E70
 

Hey guys,

I've got most of the items to do the CIC retrofit in my X5. See the image attached. I believe I need emulator and some cables. My installer is taking care of that aswell as the coding.

Do I need the center heater control/CIC headunit trim cover aswell? or does the old one from the CCC one fit? EDIT this http://www.ecstuning.com/ES116970/

I do believe you will need one with no DVD drive cut out, as the new unit has a hard drive and does not take disks.

You will need the new trim cover. The old one will leave a gaping hole. You are missing a bunch of parts. The LVDS cable to the screen, the USB connector for the glove box and cable, and the blue connector for transferring some power cables to (behind CIC).

You need the PnP harness for the combox retrofit (unless you are planning on making your own :p)

The cables/usb/pnp harness are being provided by my installer/coder.

So looks like I need part number 51166971727

Only issue mine is a right hand driver vehicle (UK) but I'm unable to confirm if its still going to work?
