Engine shudder/rev/vibration when turning steering wheel?
 

I am taking the X5 into the BMW dealership for a PPI on behalf of a interested buyer. I do not know of anything currently wrong with the X other than...

A shudder/rev/vibration, with RPM need/engine slightly teetering back and forth then stabilizing between 500 rpm - 1000 rpm.

I discovered today this happens when I turn the steering wheel slightly left or right and then back to neutral position.

This occurs when cold or warm, and only when engine is under load.

I initially suspected the eccentric idle control valve, and I did a visual check of the connecting port and found it to be clear of oil (sometimes a tell tale sign of failure)

Any ideas? This will be the last advice I get for an X5 ever...until I can afford to buy one new/ warrantied :( :p:
