Clunk During Turns Gotten Worse
When I purchased my 08 X5 4.8i Sport i noticed when i made sharp turns at high speed (causing the car to lean heavily to one side). I would feel and hear loud clunk coming from the front around where the suspension is. As i have driven the car the sound/clunk now happens pretty much on all turns. I also have the following code (maybe unrelated): P3027. Can anyone help me understand what this could be?

I think you need to get that up on a hoist with a suspension specialist.
If it's leaning heavily to one side on high speed turns I would suggest it might be a broken swaybar link. |

The code is an O2 sensor code.
You need to have your suspension checked. They should be able to determine what is causing the clunk and by doing nothing is making your vehicle unsafe as time goes on. |

Ahh i see. I'm still calling sway bar bushes or end links.

When you replaced your thrust rods/bushings did you do the job yourself...just curious? Also + 1 on swaybar end links, cheap to replace yourself usually go out depending on mileage/age. Could also be your steering rack...the majority of the time your car will not duplicate a noise on a rack b/c the susp. isn't under load. Does it "pop" while turning at a stand still?
