Apple Iphone 5S not supported?

My iphone 5S works fine with the bluetooth but when I plug it into the USB it says it isn't supported. I bought a cable on Ebay but still it says not supported. I tried an iphone 4 with the same results.

Not all cables are created equal. Borrow one from someone else.
Who knows may be a different result.
