vehicle programmed to 2.49.1 level?

Hello,

Just got my 2012 X5d from oil change, brake flush and few other small fixes, dealer reprogrammed "complete vehicle" to 2.49.1 version (supposedly to clear code 4B81) - anybody knows what that is?
So far all works well, just curious what to look for after this change.

code 4B81 is EGR rate control.

BMW is known for doing this, sell a vehicle, then modify to reduce power!

BMW did this with the turbo I6s in the E90 too.
