I'm so screwed
Bought a 2011 X6 50i with a branded title from a dealership in Utah less than two weeks ago. On Wednesday I got the engine failure check light. Misfire on cylinder 1. I changed the ignition coil, but that didn't fix it.
Brought it to the BMW dealership 200 miles away hoping I could get the CCP. Nope. They said they can't do cars with branded titles. WTF. The exact problems the CCP was made for are what I'm having. Charged me $175 to diagnose. Been waiting 3 hours now on that. Hoping its only a spark plug. Sigh. Tweeted BMW USA about it, and they gave me an email address to send my info. Who knows when they'll get back to me though. |

Can't make that 'estimate' up...
Why would you think a Branded Title would get any consideration? I would find a good Indie; that estimate is like a bad fookin with no romance. GL, mD |
I didn't have any knowledge about branded titles. Now I do. Never again. Called the dealership where I got it. Hoping they do me right. Otherwise going to get a friends mechanic to fix injectors, and sell it.

That quote is pretty insane. Injectors are pricy though, about 2k for the kit of 8. That sucks.

what's a branded title mean?
also, sorry to hear about your misfortune, wow |
Fuel injectors at ECSTuning are $140.00 each.
I would not get them OEM. I also agree with the other post. Find an INDIE. |
Thanks! The dealership I got it at is actually coming through. Having it shipped to them and doing the repairs.

Also called a "rebuilt" title. |
