Is it just me, or does the X6 look longer than the E70?

According to one of Lemans previous posts, the x6 will be slightly longer.

think of this analogy= The X5 is the E-Class Sedan while the X6 is the CLS-Coupe.

I understand that... but why would the CLS coupe have to be any longer than the E?

It is... coupes are generally longer than their sedan counterparts.

E92 is longer than E90...

While that may be true of the total length of the car. The wheel base of the E92 is 2760 cm, which is the same as it is on the E90.

The point I am trying to make though, is why does the X6 have to be any longer than the X5, if it supposed to be its sporting counterpart?

The X5 is already pretty big in my opinion & the X6 isn't going to have the 7 seats... so why longer ?!

because it's going to be more laid-back less offroad-y, sleeker, more sports car like, etc. It's like asking why a Mustang is longer than an Escape, even though the 'stang only seats four.
