I have approval from the CEO to buy a new X5... I may have to go with the X6, though. :D So, two (or three) questions, Sunil: - We know how much HP the bi-turbo I-6 makes. How much does the X6 weigh? They talk about lightweight materials, but don't tell you how porky it may or may not be. - Do we have any performance (0-60) numbers? - What is the price point? E70 . 3.0si - 2,000kg, 4.8i - 2,105kg Price. In Germany +6% for 50i over the X5 4.8i, + 9.5% for 35i over the X5 3.0si Accaleration, 0-62mph 6.7sec (=35i), 5.4sec (=50i), x5 3.0si (8.1sec), 4.8i (6.5sec). :thumbup: |
Scott27, the 50i is described in BMW's literature as 'replacing' the 4.8i and there is no mention of the 4.8i in any of the German press material..:confused:

So, it's heavier than the e70, only .2 seconds faster than the e70, and it will probably cost more than the e70? :confused:
I'm sure it will handle better, especially since the e70 is softer than the e53, but... as much as I'd love to have one, I don't know I can pull the trigger... I'll have to wait to see some pricing, I guess. Juan |
