X6 Cargo Space

guys, i'm trying to establish if the X6 has roughly the same cargo space with rear seats upright as the E53?
I have read that it has max 1450l of cargo volume with seats down but what is the volume with rear seats up & locked.
I have owned X5's,Cayenne's & now ML and I am trying to compare X6 cargo against these vehicles.Cayenne was by far the smallest.

I sat in this car last year during the focus group. My MAIN complaint was how the rear hatch/window angle was so sloped that even though the length may be the same as the E53 the height is MUCH less. So, if you're like me and put your dog back there or require some height then the cargo area in the X6 will not suit your needs.

just found this info on germancarzone.

Boot space?
570L for X6, 620L for X5 (5 seats), 480L for X3, 500L for 7er, 520L for 5er sedan, 500L for 5er Touring, 450L for 6er coupe, 460L 3er sedan, 460L 3er Touring.
So, second largest - just after X5. I find that very sufficient ... except you need a vehicle for transporting fridges & ovens, or other large boxy things.

The figures you are quoting above are likely according to a standard measurement that does not block rearward visibility at all, in other words, below the beltline, or cargo cover (approximately).

That is why the 5 touring is shown to be the same as the 5 sedan.

Now, I don't know about carrying fridges, but I do find the cargo area above the beltline to be handy in the X5, X3, and 5 touring, as Trainer says. That may not be true for everyone, but to me, the X6 has less useful space than the other SUV/SAV/Touring models, because of the slope of the rear window. If a 5 sedan (plus 10%) has sufficient luggage capacity for you, then the X6 should be just fine (I have a 5 sedan, and it actually has a very useful trunk, just not the same as an SUV or touring model)
