I'm not a fan of using coupe to describe a 4 door vehicle :(

It worked for the Rover P5 back in the 1960s, so its not a new thing. And use of the word 'Coupe' on the X6 does reflect the original meaning of the term (i.e. a cut design).

Woohoo, I know what coupe technically means...just the masses do not use coupe for a 4 door ride.

I agree. I just think BMW should have said, "here is a different play on the SUV theme focused more on vehicle dynamics and style" and we'd have got it. Instead they do their usual and try and bamboozle us with jargon.

I personally couldn't care less what BMW marketing guys call any new vehicle.
If my eye likes the look of the "truck,coupe,sav,4x4"etc.... and it drives like a BMW should then the car sells itself.
