That's interesting. I noticed that it has 'Dynamic Cruise Control', which I'd seen discussed elsewhere as being not available on the X6, but it looks like we were wrong.

"Power tail gate" - DELAYED release date - wake up BMW and come to the game prepared!

Steve, could you be confusing dynamic cruise with adaptive cruise?

Page 15 does say "Dynamic Cruise Control" being standard under the 'Intstruments and Controls' section.

Is that what I think it is, or is Active Cruise Control different?

The other point I noted from the brochure was the mention of a May 2008 production start for the X50i (in the U S of A) . The rest of the world has to wait until October/November it seems.

Yes, they are different. Dynamic cruise is standard on all models (I think) and it's really just regular cruise. I think by "dynamic" they mean that it will brake to some degree going down hill to keep you at the selected speed, but it doesn't follow the speed of the vehicle in front of you like Active Cruise does. Active cruise is a very expensive option and I decided against it on my 335 for that reason. I think it's about $2400 USD. I think dynamic cruise will be good enough for me...

DAMN! they took away 1.5" of headroom - it's NFG for me

I notice that the "Soft-Close Automatic Door Operation" function is available for the X6 US version and the Paddle Shifter. Any chance these two functions will be available on the X5 US version?
