Enhanced BMW Assist on the new X6
 

I heard the new X6 will be equipped with an Advanced BMW Assist feature. This feature allows users to use their personal computers to search businesses or specific addresses using Google Maps. Then once in the X6, by pushing the BMW Assist, the data is downloaded automatically to your GPS, saving you time. I also heard this feature will eventually be available on MY 2009 vehicles as well

Yes, but the point of my post was that this technology is coming to the US on the X6. On April 7th, BMW will officially announce it as available on the X6 ONLY...with all MY09 to have it in the fall.

Mercedes already has a similar system. A partner of mine has an "08" S550 and was telling me how he does map quest searches and sends the maps to his nav system.....Phil

Yes, heard its coming on X6 and also on 7-series.
They showed the X6 with internet cafe at Cebit2008.
