Turbo X6 (N54) already being modified!
Mad props to this guy
http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143998 I was thinking of buying an N54 X6 and making it the ultimate SUV sleeper car just like this. :yikes: What you guys think about modding the X6 engine? Would you do it? |
Nice find:thumbup:
Nice write-up from Shiv......for those of you who care more about how the X drives than looks or 'utility' ;) "BTW, Doba S and I went on a fast backroad drive and the X6 is just outrageous. Minimal body roll and incredible mid-corner balance. In many ways, it handles better than my 335 and that is no joke. It's got a bitchin' torque vectoring rear diff that sends torque to the outside rear wheel while cornering. This pretty much eliminates understeer completely. Same set-up as the EVO X, btw. I never thought I'd want an SUV. But this car is really is amazing." |
That quote needs to be shown to Kim Reynolds at Motor Trend.

Just to make sure that everyone knows the other side of using a piggyback, BMW has updated their software to detect them. When I had my Procede oin my e92, the software wasnt as advanced, so knowing this was coming, I switched to Dinan.

Nice right up, Shiv is the man if you are looking to chip your 3.0 TT engine. This guy has the most positive response to this engine and even tho dinan also has a chip for this engine, i would still go with Shivs chip just cause of his history and cleint response on other forums.
As for BMW detecting the software, i feel they shouldnt mind as long as its mapped correctly and peeps with 335is are rocking it with no problems other than the problems that everyone with that car is having. I know BMW must have more reasons for the chip upgrades, but common, i am thinkin of getting a x35i instead of the x50i just cause of this chip. |
Imagine what the Xdrive50i will be capable of with a little boost increase.
