Has anyone seen any X6's on the road
I'm in Dallas and I have only seen 1 ..........
That's actually a funny question. I haven't seen any at all!!
And there are ANOTHER two new X5's on my street. It's getting ridiculous. The local dealers must be discounting them. |
I haven't seen any in the NJ, Morris County area besides two in Morristown BMW. I always hear how dealers can't keep them in-stock, but I haven't seen one on the road!
I've seen several in NYC. On business trips to Atlanta, I saw a couple on GA 400 heading north into Alpharetta. Also saw them every where on last business trip to LA...specifically in the Wilshire Corridor area.
Not a single one.
saw them on a trailer =P and one at starbucks.
i not seen any on the road , but seen one everyday in my neighbors drive way
1...at a drive thru car wash that was not brushless. I walked over and took a look, shameful, the interior was filthy. Why don't people take care of their vehicles??
I've seen only one. A few months back, coming up on me on a two lane entrance ramp to the GSP in central NJ. He was chicken to take me on the ramp but jumped on it after the merge. WUSS  Damn it looked mean in my rearview....
Have seen a few in Seattle. They just don't seem practical. They are great to look at. Hauling two kids and all their clobber around would make it a a NO in my book.
I see them more often, just by being at the source :nanana:
The big boss man with his name on the front of the building is demo-ing a black on black X6 5.0i with black 215's on it.....sweet! |
Saw a silver one a few months back going in the opposite direction on a two lane road. They have one seriously mean presence in person.
I have seen a couple in Buffalo. I like them maybe a little inflated looking.
i dont see any in eastern PA, except for the dealership by my house
I have seen one in Northern VA (home to badgewhores* galore) a few months ago. When I worked at the dealership, someone was supposed to eventually take delivery of his Black/Tobacco X6 5.0i with a bazillion options including the HUD. :loco:

ive seen one in the hospital at the doctor's parking area.
Every hour!!!!!!:D :D   Thanks! PalBay
One here in Santa Fe.
One on the tappanzee (black, i thought it was a 335i)
62 on eBay 3 in Greenville, SC. All of which had either Manufacturer tags, or other symbols that the driver didn't have to spend money on it. One had FU flags flying high though on its way onto campus to tailgate  Epitome of good taste. ACTUALLY... 4. I saw one on campus that had rear ended a prius. How fitting. Ugly on Ugly crime. |

I have seen a couple around Vancouver.
Saw one over the weekend pulling out of a dealer in Maryland.
A lady down the road has a black one - she got off the highway behind me one day and man, that thing looks mean from the front!!!
Was at the dealer the other day and they did not have any on the lot. |
I've seen 2 where I live, though I think they might be the same one. :P
I've only seen one few months back.... and it looked great!!
Besides the one parked in my garage, I've seen a green 35i and pulled up
next to a VR 35i on the freeway the other day. It was thumbs up time for both drivers. |
ive seen a couple here. I THINK i even saw that color mineral silver.

i've seen a few..they do look fantastic whether you're behind or infront. i was right behind a silver one at night and that thing was just sleek!
Saw one yesterday....it was pretty sweet looking. Spent a few minutes talking to the owner. The wheels were very nice....the factory 22's were massive. I wish that I'd taken a picture of the wheels........Phil

I never knew BMW had 22":wow: wheels, you sure:stickpoke . |

*Update* The wheel was a style 275....she had the size wrong but it still looked sweet. Good catch Doc |
Just found these videos to be fun for this thread... :D

I've seen just one on the road since they came out...In this economic climate no one is biting on the over-priced X6... |

Saw 2 yesterday...one in Brooklyn (VR) and the other downtown Manhattan (Blk). First thing out of my mouth was "sexy mother******" coincidentally as i was listening to the same song by Prince. Immediately after seeing the VR X6 i saw a newer Range Rover and thought to myself, now that was once an attractive design (to me)...but the last time i recall reacting the way i did, it was to the following cars: X5 4.6iS; Aston Martin DBS; M6. It's rare that i react as an adolescent busting a nut to his first issue of playboy (pardon my french :D). In regard to the X6, BMW has manifested itself yet again (to me at least). I will now admit, it has officially grown on me. I braked (when i saw the VR) as if i just saw the sexiest woman walking out of a salon in SOHO...or the first time i saw Adriana Lima on a catwalk...it was an immediate attraction and acknowledgement of sexy. Some things must simply be seen in person, her curves, lines, stance, growl...i believe BMW has brought sexy back... :D ...
When you turn her on i can only imagine that she returns the favor, and then some :D |
I have seen one in New Port Beach, California.
I saw a black 5.0 yesterday :wow:
I finally saw a tasman green one up close and personal while passing it in traffic on the LIE yesterday. The thing commands attention. Its stature with a high, wide rear end keeps you guessing what the rest of the vehicle will look like, not to mention it's not as common as an X5. I'd rate it somewhere between not-too-bad and I'm-impressed in terms of design... though I still like the X5 lines more. But the X6 is not as bad as I thought it would be from pics. I think it definitely succeeds in looking like a sports coupe/sedan that you should not mess with - it looks bad-ass in person, at least while in motion. I wish I got to hear the engine though.

I fiddled with the build site, too. Amazed, (as I am at E70 loaded prices)...these "times" are not conducive for these kinds of items flying out the door; even Toyota & Costco are hurting. |
Imagine my surprise, as we arrive at our cabin for a holiday snowboarding weekend with friends and there's a brand new black X6 50i in the driveway. It belongs to one of my buddies...he gave his ML63 to his wife and traded in her Benz G-wagon for the X6. After he told me the handling and power feel as good or better than his old ML (he's put about 7k miles on her so far), i had to take her out for a spin...:D ... I hit some Pocono back-roads and found a nice stretch of highway :wow: ...my immediate thoughts were that I can't imagine how she'll feel once broken into, let alone, how the ///M variants will perform.
I was heavy on the gas as the exhaust note was absolute music, a menacing growl. I felt essentially no turbo lag, throttle response was dead-on. Suspension felt like a yacht on land...very smooth and refined. My friend says that while driving the back-road twisty's i had a grin so wide i was getting chapstick on both ears :D . As we cruised the hwy, a newer model Cayenne S kept getting on my tail (was doing about 70)...as soon as the car in front of me moved out of the fast lane, let's just say the Pepper was a dot in my rear view mirror...that is until my friends laser detector started singing. This bad boy covers ground quickly and incredibly :wow: ! Too bad an Aztec could never hit twisty's at 80mph in it's wildest dreams  I'm now trying to convince my friend to take up Dinan's offer for the free software development. We looked on Dinan's site when we returned to the cabin and the offer is still on the site. He says he'll look into it further. |
I saw one in charlotte the other day, but it was in the CPO lot...
I wonder if BMW is going to have a price DECREASE soon. Is it just me or does anyone else notice that everything but fixed expenses (house&cars you are paying off from buying before the bigbust, tuition:banghead:) seems to be going down... Gas is 30% of what it used to be, and hell, so are clothes and electronics and new services? hmmm.... |
I guess that's the markets reacting to the economy. As demand goes down and people stop buying as much to save a bit, they gotta do what they can to keep sales up enough to keep the business afloat. I guess they can't all go barking up the golden parachute bailout tree!

Deep Sea Blue on Beige Nappa. only another $200K of annual income and I'm there. They wanted $69,900 for that and a VR one that was fully loaded too. I thought BMW excluded the X6 from special offers because it was such a hot seller! |

Then i got in. It felt... perfect! haha. |
I've seen a couple around the city in the last couple of months, I can honestly say that I stopped to look because it was 'different' not because I liked it.... it still hasn't grown on me.

Was at the dealer the other day. There was a black 50i with the big wheels in the showroom. I can honestly say it's starting to look good to me, but I still don't get the point of it. At least a few people I know that would've bought one, won't because of the rear seating arrangement. As a five seater, it'd basically be what the E53 is.
An X5 with DPC will perform nearly as well imo, and with a reasonable modicum of utility. Once DPC starts spreading to other BMW's, the X6's existence will be useless at best. |

There are a lot of X6s here in Saudi and in Dubai too.
I saw it so many times and I had the chance to drive a used one at BMW approved used cars (Alpine White 35i). There is nothing can describe how it handles!! I cant imagine how the 50i would be!! |
I have only seen 3 on the roads in Indy and one is the owner of the dealerships personal car. My parents are currently looking at either a 09 X5 4.8 or a 09 X6 Xdrive50i
In Dallas and saw my first one today. Beautiful White. Mean front end...
I see a lot of X6's daily in Dubai (10+), with an assortment of different rims. I still can't seem to like the back of the X6.
didnt read all six pages but ill see one floatin around every other day or so, but im in LA...........what dont you see, like for instance a black tvr tuscan past me the other day, and i saw the new skyline (black) pulling out of a gas station
Two people on my road have taken delivery of an X6 in the last month. One of them has a matt black paint job with black wheels.
Haven't seen one in Portland, only at the dealer. I still feel mixed about it, they said take it for a spin it will change your mind. Then I thought to myself, it would change my bank account also, so I passed.
Saw a 5.0 in a parking garage yesterday.
saw this one on the parkway last weekend
Sorry I didn't get better pics

I see one about once a week. I don't even bother taking a pic. Sorry, but the X6 isn't my cup of tea.
