Dealer (SunMotorCars BMW) originally told me that production would not begin until mid November. But then, since it was a "paid order", it was (according to him) moved up to week 43, which is next week. Which would mean that I would get delivery last week of this month. But since he has not yet received a production schedule, I think delivery will be sometime in November. BUT, since I turned in my Mercedes E350 4-matic lease with Sun Mercedes, their BMW store gave me a brand new (out of stock, never been driven) 2009 328i to drive (for free!) until my X6 arrives. Now, how many dealers do you know who would loan a brand new car with some nice options to a customer until their new car arrives? Perhaps that's one reason why SunMotorCars BMW is rated by BMW as the 3rd best dealer in the US. And to top that off, their Mercedes store gave me $2,500 more for my turned in Mercedes than the local dealer here from where I had purchased 17 (!) cars over the years. Amazing.
