anyone lowered their X6??

i think it would look a lot more meaner if it were lowered a few inches.. has anyone done this? if so, what have you done exactly and can you post pics??

I'm still exploring my options before taking the plunge...

Was behind a black 50i a couple months ago...turned out we were heading to the same destination. Rear was lowered by dealer with springs up front...stance looked really aggressive.

how much did you lower it by on the front/rear? was it 2.0/1.2 or 40/30mm?

also, what was the final cost for springs and labor? did the dealer put them on for you?

is this something they normally do for new orders?

how is the ride? is it a harshe ride? or no difference felt?

sorry for all the questions..but really interested in doing this.. and want it done right..

It´s approx 30 mm front/rear. I do not have the exact cost as it was like this when i bought it. I suppose 1000-1500 Euro. And yes a workshop has to install this as you have to align your suspension.
The ride is like original i will say. Normally i use the "normal" mode as i have the adaptive drive option.

drod 11-29-2009 03:26 AM

the springs are labeled with self-leveling and without...

i'm assuming this is with the adaptive drive option?

also noticed they are usually 2.0 front/1.2 rear drop...

anyone w/o adaptive drive and lowered?

issues with this setup??

There are some pictures of a X6 on E90 Post. The gent used 1.2" H&R lowering springs front and rear. A 2" lower in front is also available as well, as mentioned, adaptive, "self leveling" spring models are also available.

Jipetterson,
I really like your X6. Can you tell me what are the exact tire size 22's you are running? Thank you.
