X6 Hybrid at dealer

5 Attachment(s)
Saw an X6 Hybrid at dealer this morning. Sticker was almost $93K. Heres a few bad pictures. Interior was white leather looked the same as an ordinary X6.

cmyX6go 12-05-2009 06:08 PM

Did you know those wheels were specially designed to work like fans and cool the brakes...

BMW_F1 12-05-2009 06:17 PM

Those so called "Aero Wheels" look hideous!

Naz24 12-05-2009 06:23 PM

the wheels are hideous! and for 93K id go get an X6M!

if BMW can figure out a way to lower the price to compete with the 35 or 50 model, i'm sure it will sell. but for that price, theyre gonna have trouble

:wow:.... For the "green oriented". I like the wheels, however. :D

roadking40 12-05-2009 06:25 PM

The wheels are awful.

BMW_F1 12-05-2009 06:29 PM

At least BMW offers more conventional wheels as a no charge option.

Naz24 12-05-2009 06:31 PM

wait, it goes 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. :wow:

did u notice the roof rails on the one on BMWUSA?

BMW_F1 12-05-2009 06:38 PM

Did Bangle sneak in and add those roof rails?

Also it goes to 0-60 5.4 sec but not sure you will ever get there as that car will be in service at least 100 days every year. In all seriousness the KERS helps out a lot, if any one watched F1 last season you know what I mean.

100k for that??? :(

they must be nuts!

and someone shoot the guy that designed those wheels!! yuk

For 100k I much rather would have a 750Li or would wait a year and get the F10 M5:D

LeMansX5 12-05-2009 08:09 PM

You guys realize that this is the fastest hybrid and you are comparing it to M cars. This car has different purpose. This is for tree huggers. ;)

LM, That was my comment, too...limo libs; well-to-do limo libs, at that.
If they sell more than a few hundred a year, I'll buy lunch. :D

JadeVetti 12-07-2009 07:23 PM

I like its look...but for that price, "Why Not?" on an ///M instead--

AVB-AMG 12-09-2009 09:26 AM

What is the X6 Hybrid's Expected MPG Ratings???

Quick question:I understand from the official press release that the X6 Hybrid is "expected" to get an approximately 20% improvement on gas mileage over the standard gasoline only powered X6, which I am assuming they are referring to the X6 3.5 version as opposed to the V8.Has anyone here heard or read what the actual / anticipated U.S. MPG ratings are for both city and highway driving for the X6 Hybrid?mswaz: Was it listed on the Mfgr's. Window Sticker on the one pictured above? (I would assume it was). If so, do you remember what it stated?Very curious...AVB-AMG

The expensive parts are all underneath. The most advanced production BMW made today.

A Prius is way more expensive than a Corolla, but they do the same thing. Why would anyone buy one? Image.

So, Jay Leno has to go to a 'green' event, what does he show up in?

JCL 12-09-2009 05:19 PM

When I see those wheels I am reminded of a Cuisinart food processor.

Michelle 12-15-2009 11:54 AM

The wheels are even uglier in person.

Meiac09 12-15-2009 12:46 PM

yuck. Saw a bunch at Welt. Fugly. More reasons BMW should adopt the monochromatic scheme, esp with these toaster doohickeys.

Weasel 12-15-2009 02:02 PM

Those wheels are on there as the standard option due to efficiency etc. but any other wheel style is still an option when ordering. Still the "fastest hybrid in the world" with performance specs and 0-60 times to match the E53 4.6is/4.8is.

BMW_F1 12-31-2009 01:23 AM

I saw the X6 Active Hybrid in person today with the Aero Wheels and they look a lot better in person. Sorry no pics, as I did not know I would see it.

Lexus sold out of the RX Hybrids just in Southern California, I wonder if anyone there still has the dough to upgrade...

Need to save a lot of money on gas, $90,000 is crazy.

RTC 01-08-2010 07:27 AM

This isn't about saving money on gas, the Hybrid is about a "green conscience". People who want to prove to themselves and others that they care about the planet, go Hybrid. Personally, I would never buy this thing, it is just too expensive for what it offers (I just ordered a X5 M) but I admire people who are willing to sacrifice money and performance for an alleged good cause. BMW also needs the Hybrid to lower fleet consumption/CO2 output. ;)

Weasel 01-08-2010 09:13 AM

Hey, if you're forced into making a hybrid why not make it the fastest and most powerful hybrid in the market?

bmwman3241 01-13-2010 02:49 PM

A hybrid is not necessarily only for the "green" people or people that want to save on gas. My mom drives a Lexus RX400h and we (My dad and I) are considering the X6 Hybrid for her. The main thing she likes about the hybrid is how quite it is, and how easy and peaceful to drive.
Between the X6, X6 M, and X6 Hybrid, the X6 Hybrid would be our choice for her next car.

BTW, has anyone heard the X6 Hybrid exhaust? The thing was louder then the X5, X5 M, and my Denali's Magnaflow exhaust.

brian5 01-13-2010 11:08 PM

I saw that color X6 at my dealership too. The wheels looked so bad (and I don't mean that in a good way :) ) that I had to go and have a close up look to make sure that they weren't just some plastic snap-ons. Then I saw it was the hybrid X6.

I don't see them moving those cars very quickly at those prices...

RTC 01-16-2010 10:16 AM

My GERMAN dealer didn't have a single request for the X6 Hybrid, not even one. He is a high volume dealer in my area.

rayxi 05-17-2010 11:32 AM

I got a ride in one today. The X5 was in for a coolant line replacement and they dropped me off at the office in one. For those interested, the real world fuel consumption was 12.7L/100 km and it's very quick. The wheels definitely do not look any better in person.

20C4S 05-17-2010 12:01 PM

let the Prius people save the world! for that price i'll get the X6M any day of the year. yuck to the wheel too.
