X6 Ordering Timeline
 

I have a 2008 750LI coming off lease mid May 2010 - My local BMW sales guy said about 6 weeks and suggested I place my order the first week of March. I was wondering what actual ordering to delivery experiences might be for those who have actually placed an order before.

I am planning to order a 50i in Mineral Silver. Thank you!

I ordered mine 10 weeks in advance but that was because I wanted to secure a specific date to do performance center delivery. I placed my order on 9/3, which was prior to production starting on the 2010 MY. I went into production status on 9/30 and was completed on 10/6. I picked it up at the plant on 11/13. It only takes a week or so once production is completed to when it will arrive at your dealer in PA.

6 weeks is plenty of time in my opinion. If you have the time, I highly recommend doing the performance center delivery. It was a blast http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...g-cmyx6go.html

You're going to love this vehicle. I also recommend the performance upgrade which takes you from 400 hp to 440 hp :D Good luck!

Since you are in PA, you may get in 3 to 4 weeks.

Ordered my X6 50i on Dec. 30 from dealer. Said he would put my name on a late Feb. build X6 and modify to my spec order. My car order was confirmed by BMW AG with status 111 on Dec. 30....and status changed to 112 on Jan. 20th. No change since then. I called the factory number to check the progress of my order. The recorded message says status 112 Set for Production with NO firm data for Production.

Does anyone know when my vehiecle order will move to production from status 112 Scheduled for produciton with NO specific build date?
Sooooo anxious to get my niew X6 50i baby.



My quesiton is: Does anyone know how long my order is from beign built?

I ordered my X5 M on Dec. 18th. Two weeks ago, the status was still 112.
Last week, status changed to 150 and my dealer told me that my car will exit production end of the coming week. It seems to move pretty fast.
I still need to wait at least 3-4 weeks for delivery after the car is finished because I live in Germany. :(

So frustrating not knowing when the build date will be. Status 112 says scheduled for production...but when I call the factory automated number, it says "production scheduled with no firm date yet". Hopefully this week it will enter 150 like your did! I ordered my X6 50i on Dec. 30...Black Sapphire / Saddle Brown Leather...loaded.. What colors did you order for your X5M?

I'm pretty sure if you call the dealer they can tell you what week it is scheduled to go into production. The website will not tell you when it's due. It will just surprise you one morning and show In Production. Once it changes over to In Production status it goes pretty quick. It will also tell you when production should be completed.

Hang in there. I promise you, it is worth every moment of the agonizing wait.

Hey thanks CMYX6Go! Appreciate the feedback. My dealer told me when I ordered the car they had a stock X6 50i scheduled for late February...but that the factory would pull in the date with a firm order. I ordered it...thinking early Feb...but no scheduled date yet. I'll call the dealer tomorrow....see what happens!

Got the X650i with all the bells and whistles...well, not the leather dash.
