So long to our lemon E70 X5 35d. We got it on October 31, 2009, and it has been trouble since. Took the BMW Trade-Assist option and we now have a new X6 35i!

So long X5! We only had you for such a short time!

Just kidding!

More later. I must compile the picture and take a shower in the mean-time.

Round two. We didn't buy from Manny, but rather Kevin. We are Chinese, so it is much easier for my parents to negotiate with a Chinese salesperson who in this case is Kevin. Now we are being brought back into the garage to take delivery. This place is awesome!

Sick X5 being prepped for delivery, or so I think. Still had a window sticker on. There will be some more pictures of it later when we leave the garage.

And here is our X6! Color combination is different, but we love it.

And another X6 in one of their detailing bays. Looked to have been just waxed, as the guy left the wax to bond to the paint.

Other cars being detailed. X5 looked to be waxed, and the 3 series seemed to be polished. Polished was broken down nicely, but I didn't get a close up of it.

On the way out I spotted this Vermillion Red X6 just like our X5.

And some parting shots with both our X's. X6 and eX5.

And some gauge cluster shots on the way home. I noticed BMW got rid of that useless MPG guage and installed an oil temperature guage! :excited:

It's finally home sitting next to our 325xi. Our E53 X5 3.0i is now sitting in the driveway spot the E70 had.

Congrats! Like the interior.

never liked the x6 when it first came out, but now im a huge fan! congrats! which one will you be driving??

ravenheart 05-14-2010 12:47 AM

Gratz :) Sure you will enjoy it :)

I always enjoy going behind the scenes at the dealerships and see the shops - so many cool cars usually strung up in unusual poses ;)

MINIz guy 05-14-2010 07:35 AM

It's a very unique car that we never see many of. I sure think it is a head turner.

When I get to drive, which will be in about a month, I will be driving the E53 X5 3.0i as my primary car.

nom3rcy 05-14-2010 09:04 AM

Those seats are incredible! Absolutely love the Alcantara!

Viperfreak2 05-14-2010 09:04 AM

I thought the instant MPG gauge was a great feature! I miss it!

It's much better than the digital version in the center because you can see see the needle by peripheral vision.

no X6 for you? :nanana:

you're born in 1994 right?

MINIz guy 05-14-2010 05:20 PM

I find the oil temp guage much more important than MPG. That really tells you if the engine is fully warmed up and when you can really push it.

I won't be getting the X6. It is a nice car, but I have noticed that BMW has made some cuts in features to save some money. We did get robbed of a few things, such as 5DK (Sideview camera) and new LED angel eyes. Because 5DK was taken away, we had an extra $300 which could've gone towards rear heated seats, but the dealer never told us about that until it was built. I've also noticed BMW took away the grab handles on the headliner.

And yes, I was born in 1994.

cmyX6go 05-15-2010 05:48 AM

You posted on e46fanatics first  What's up with that?

Congrats! And yes it is a head turner. Enjoy!

MINIz guy 05-15-2010 07:44 PM

E46Fanatics just has much more traffic than here. In fact, my Photobucket bandwidth has been exceeded for the first time ever because of all the traffic. I won't leave here, since the E53 is still very helpful for many things.

E46 is still E46, not a E71 site. :stickpoke ;)

MINIz guy 05-16-2010 11:40 AM

They have a car photography section. :D

Naz24 05-16-2010 11:08 PM

hey the pictures disappeared! I wanna see!

MINIz guy 05-18-2010 04:41 PM

Ugh, does anybody know how I could rehost these pictures without needing to resize every single one again? Any better picture sites than Photobucket available? I've tried Flickr but they only allow me to upload 20 or 25 pictures a month.

Tasker 05-18-2010 05:01 PM

Set up a different flickr account and upload some more :D

MINIz guy 05-18-2010 05:42 PM

Ok, here are 20 of the 50 or so pictures. First time using Flickr, so I hope this link works.

Took these on Memorial Day!
