A couple pics of my x6

Well i picked her up standard 4.0d with the following spec

2010 x6 4.0d

Dynamic pack
media pack
top view
side view camera
comfort access
soft close doors
DAB
Individual Audio
active cruise control
HUD
Privicy glass
fold in mirrors
blah blah blah

so within the first week i did the following

so I have had the x6 for over a week and the time came to start modding

had the wheels sprayed sap black paint code 475
12mm spacers rear
5mm spacer up front
fitted the bbk up front 405mm floating discs 10 pot calipers
fitted the bbk rear 380mm floating discs 8 pot calipers
HAd the brakes painted porker single green (same as the GT but I had pearl added to the lacquar so in the sun they look yum)
ordered some m6 RPI scoops (modded them to fit and also had then sprayed)
Gloss black front grill
LED reg plate lights and also replaced all of the interior lights
replaced the BMW badges with Black BMW badges
lowered on H and R springs (i'll post up pics of how i did that)

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0163.jpg

After a few weeks i ordered the following

VRS front carbon lip
X6M front bumper
BMW performance side skirts and rear diffuser
I also decided to have all the matt plastic sanded down and colour coded

So £1500 lighter I am now the proud owner of this VRS for the x6m front bumper! pure sex
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0165.jpg

BMW kit and bumper

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_3161.jpg

first coat of sap black going on
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0167.jpg
Few more coats don't be shy lamp it on phil
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0169.jpg
front bumper painted (the VRS is just placed on top it wellbe fitted once the bumper has been de nibbed and mopped)
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0174.jpg
few other bits
the side skirts come in 2 pieces so the long piece you see is the part that is normally colour coded
The grills for the bumper (and under the bonnet) were also colour coded)
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0175.jpg
The textured parts were then sanded down by me ready for phil to high build primer. Theses parts are not normally colour coded but I think there look much better once they are done. the wheel sarches well be stripped tomorrow for the same treatment. The wings and bonne well also be taken off tomorrow ready for paint. The car well comeout spotless :-)

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0176.jpg
I'll be busy tomorrow undoing all the fidly bolts to get the wings out!

The rear end, this is actually quite easy lots of 8mm bolts and clips. In order to remove the out bits of the rear diffuser your have to remove the rear wheel arch trim as there is one plastic rivit there. Also the rivits are one use only so have a new set ready cheap as chips from BMW. To remove the wheel arch trim your need a trim tool, once the rivits are out you cant reuse them. Remember to remove the PDC etc from the rear trims
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0180.jpg
For the front bumper remove the 8mm bolts on the bottom and there are 2 on the inner arch. Once theses are undone pull on the bumper and it can be removed. remember to disconnect the fog lamps, side view camera PDC loom etc etc. Please note remove the front reflector on the side of the bumer there is an 8mm bolts behind it
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0181.jpg

Side skirts. One torx 25 screw (plastic) at the bottom of the front side skirts. The resr are plastic pusher just pull on the bottom of the side skirt there pop out. once theses are out open the doors and pull the side skirts off (there are held in with white plastic clips. Again have spare ones from BMW.
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0184.jpg
to remove the wing this is more involved. First remove the inner shit guards (about 20 8mm and 10mm bolts!). Once removed I jet washed mine lol
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0185.jpg
The headlight is bolted to wing. There are sone other bolts (remove the windscreen side trim there is a philps bolt there). The other bolts are on the top of the wing, open the drivers door to access the inner bolts. The other one is on the side of the headlight you rneed a right angle screew driver or similar tool as its a bitch of a torx to get to. YOur also need a bucket to drain the washer flud. The drivers side wing is more difficult then the passanger side due to the washer bottle.
There you have it one wing
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0187.jpg
I didnt have time to remove the bonnet, My bodyshop well do that on Monday as I have stripped the most time consuming stuff off. Its such great fun stripping your car lol.

below is a pic with it stripped :-)

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0202.jpg

after 1.5 weeks it was time to put it back together:-) The results are below

Front end shot

another front end
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0223.jpg
Front arch trimed and painted
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0235.jpg
Performance side skirts (the part sticking out is normally painted I got the whole lot done
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0234.jpg
Rear end
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0239.jpg
Rear arch colour coded
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...3/IMG_0238.jpg

Next up was the exhaust big thanks to guys at pro fusion custom I know a few guys have had their exhaust systems done by them and they have done all the exhausts on my previous BMW.
I'll get pics of the system under the car but basically its 3.5inch all the way (with a box) and then splits out to the quads, the noise is much the same as before, (however under load it sounds amazing). I can remove the DPF and get it coded out but I dont think i'll do that.
I had to buy the trims that you require if you want to fit the BMW square tips, hence the delay.
Anyway here are the pics:-
staggered pipes
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...ps1311746e.jpg
now the reason the pipes point up wards is so that they follow the line of the rear bumper...having them stright just looked crap!
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psd71ad1d7.jpg
rear end
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...ps79d912cf.jpg
another view
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psc94498f1.jpg
The system is all polished from underneath so i'll get it in the air for better pics.
The car seems to pull more but that may just be me lol!

My new security system is also in place lol

I posted this up on x drivers but forgot to do it here lol!

Next up is ICE and i'll put on my 22" rims in summer :-)

yes you can order the BMW performance kit, it consists of side skirts and the rear diffuser which comes in 3 parts. You can also order the BMW rear spolier and the side wind strips for the rear window.

For the front you can prder the x6m front bumper (you also need to order the 4 grills which come for the bumper (3 for the bumper and one which goes under the kidney grills). I was able to re use my standard brake ducts. The side trims on the wing need to be trimmed as the x6m front bumper sits further back, I also had to trim the plastic coweling so the bumper could sit further back no big deal and easy to do.

here is the link to the eye lids

BMW X6 e71, eyebrows, Genuine ABS plastic 08- NEW headlight spoiler eye lids | eBay

The exhaust place is called pro fusion customs

they also did my 750 WALD kitted e65

Magnaflow Performance Exhausts | Stainless Steel Custom Exhausts

and my x5 4.8 sport (i had th erear bumper smoothed off and a center piece cut out )

Magnaflow Performance Exhausts | Stainless Steel Custom Exhausts

I carriedthe wheels and brakes over from the x5 to my x6

Speak to Raj he owns the place. Your also need to order the exhaust trims for fitting the bigger tail pipes from BMW. You simply cut the existing trims which are on the rear bumper and bond the new pones in place
