Id love to set up a meet in ct for Ny Nj and Ct members. Anyone interested

Dont everyone jump at once now. the parking lot is only so big. No but seriously does anyone want to have a meet this summer. Somewhere in CT.

I was thinking of hamanassett state park. It is on the ocean and has huge parking lots and i can get a permit for the meet. You can definately get some nice pics there. But i am open for suggestions. Id like to get at least 10 people together but would love more. Hopefully we can get NY, NJ And MA involved too.

Long Island Dialing in, about time but was thinking more toward NY, like maybe Central Park, Manhatten, would be cool a ton of X5's meeting up, maybe attrack some media....let me get my 4.6 spoilers on first --Im in mid to late Spring I would suggest no surprise weather to spoil our day.

Count me in on the fun. April or May could have some potential. Then again there is always SEPTEMBERFEST!

DC is a great ride for the X. I don't think I'm speaking out of line when I say come on down. It would be great to get to meet my neighbors.:wavey: We could still do a meet up here somewhere after that. What do you say? How often do you get an excuse to do a nice 200 or so mile trip? :driver:

I know there are quite a few members on this board who are from tristate area. Last year I was at the Hammonasett park for Bavarianfest east and I was the only one with X5. Mostly 3 series.

I planned on going and even booked accomodations but the organizers weren't so organized about the event date...

dont mean to thread jack at all guys but last year we did a meet in SW CT at sherwood island state park we are doing it again this year CT,NJ,NY,MA members came in as well as a few from RI, NH, and MD

Sorry Michelle, I just assumed you were interested since you agreed about a meet on page 2. No one was cut and pasting the list so I just typed the names of people who wrote something positve about the idea of a meet in the tri-state area.

I'm starting a new job in 3 weeks, I'm not sure of what my free time/weekends are goign to look like over the next few months, so put me down as a maybe.... oh, and I don't own an X anymore (ex? :)) will Vette owners be allowed in?

Put me down as a maybe too. I'd really, really love to meet up with everyone, but being a single dad, I'd prefer to do it on a weekend that I don't have my kids. Not that I wouldn't want to take them, but I just don't think it would be their "cup of tea". I'd really love to take my lovely lass Linda with me so she can meet all the people I'm obsessed with but never met in person! Of course, I in now way expect you to work around my schedule, but I have my kids every other weekend - and this weekend I don't have them. I also have several trips planned already this summer so that may also have an impact. I'll be at Niagara Falls for my daughter's soccer tournament in July and Linda & I are going to a wedding in Vegas in August just to name a couple. But again, I'd really love to meet up with all of you, as long as the planets are in alignment...

Maybe those on this thread should take a look at the the other thread and get it together. I'm not yet sure if I can make the April 9th but will try my best. Just my 2 cents

what about hamanasset state park in CT. Its got huge parking lots its on the beach and it has bbq and picnic areas with tables. And its got some fields too and basketball abd volleyball quarts. there are a lot of inns and hotels in the area also.

Hamanasset state park in CT is quite a ride for NJ/NY residents. Besides its sort of middle of nowhere. I was there last year for Bavarianfest.

I know there is a nice restaurant by the ocean in Stamford(can't remember the name). They have a huge parking lot and nice view of long island sound. The lot is empty on weekends. Here is a weekday pic from a BMW mini-meet.

i was thinking more like....Fort Lee, N.J. Palisades Interstate Park. Fort Lee, N.J. Take River Road to the entrance of the Palisades Interstate Park just south of the G.W. Bridge. Go down the hill at the first circle and in to the parking lot of this newly renovated area. The parking lot holds 350 cars and it will cost you $4.00 per car load to park. A.K.A. Ross Dock....nice area...we could problably take a ride out to the city afterwards...its 5 minz away ...and can invite some e46'ers also

I'd rather do a Saturday (just not 6/3), especially if it's going to be way up north somewhere so I can crash overnight. Don't want to be a pain in the ass though. If it has to be 6/4, so be it.

Definite unlikely. My wife is due with baby # 3 on the 16th. I'll have to play it be ear. I am close enough that I can be there on short notice. The place is about 10 minutes from my office.
