2006 Fall DC Meet?
 

Hello everyone. I'm not new to BMW or X5World. Been a lurker on the site for awhile and currently own an 02 330xi (after giving an 02 325i to ex-girlfriend following messy breakup).

Anyway, I'll be joining the ranks of X5 owners on Tuesday. Picking up a CPO 04 4.4i (Sterling/Truffle, Nav, PDC, Cold, Prem, and all the std. equip). After reading the forum for the past 8-9 mths I'm so excited to try some of the tips/tricks/upgrades that I've been seeing. Exactly some of the NAV stuff has worked in the 330 (Thanks).

Question, just one many I'm sure I'll have after picking up the truck... Any plans in the near future for a DC area Meet? Would love to meet some of the wonderful people I've gained so much knowledge and insight from. As well as seeing some of their mods up close. I'm setting aside 5 grand to start moddin' as soon as I take delivery. In fact I was excited that I ordered the Hoen XenonMatch Fogs yesterday. Tire/Wheel package will be next. Okay, that's enough babbling for now.

BTW, sorry if this should have been in the Intro Section (this is only my first post (maybe 2nd) post). Feel free to move if neccessary.

Several of us just got together in DC this past week for a mini-meet. We also just had a full-scale meet in DC last spring, thanks to JV. Sites for the next east coast meet are still being bantered about, with sites such as Charlotte, NC and St. Petersburg, FL currently on the consideration list.

But the DC area has so many nice places to meet! (Haha okay, the reality is I wouldn't be able to drive too far for a meet).

We just had a real meet this past spring. It was great, well organized thanks to JV, and lots of attendance. I just wish there was more than just ONE X3 that showed up! ;)

Bozo5521: Yeah unfortunately when we got the 325i, we traded her only car in for it. B/c her credit wasn't as strong, the car was in my name alone. So, feelin' badly after the breakup that she would be left carless. I signed everything over to her (including the remaining payments).

I know there was just a huge meet last Spring, unfortunately I hadn't located an X with the options I wanted at that time. I'm just picking up my first X this Tuesday. Hopefully we can pull off a smaller version (say a gathering at a restaurant, nature park, stadium, amusement park, etc.) with a few of the locals. I really wasn't thinking anything larger after as a huge meet just a few month ago.

You can defintely organize one.
