PNW get together?
Hello all fairly new here and was wondering if there are any get togethers for X5 owners in the pacific northwest, I noticed there are quite a few on here from the Bellevue/Seattle area, anyone interested?
thatd be cool wit me.. im in the bellevue area 21 years old? how old are you?
I'm 29 we should set up something this summer with a get together maybe a cruise.
I'm in. I'm from Seattle.
I am in but I will half to take off when you guys hit the bars :(
haha I think If we got a sweet seattle or bellevue background to we could make an awsome group pic of our X5's! |
I say we organize a group drive from somewhere in the Seattle area up to Mt. Ranier and get some sweet mountian pics.
Is Idaho NWenuf? eastern ID, but am planning a trip north to Glacier and could probaby turn left for a meet - been to 2 Seafairs so far - but then again I maybe too old, 57
 Sounds great guys I think the cruise and the mountain pics would be the ticket or even alki for some group pics that way everyone can participate young and old not saying your old x5Flyboy :) now to pick a date?
I'm the retired one:nanana:  , so I can usually adjust my time to fit others. I may want to wait awhile before going to Glacier as my snow tires are in my garage in SC(long story:rolleyes: ) and we just had an inch of snow 15 miles north of me.:wow: :dunno: Can't imagine what it may still be further north. I thought I had missed winter by being in SC Oct-May. 4 days back in ID and it's snowing! :yikes: I've seen the lakes in Yellowstone still frozen over this time of year. Been below freezing in AM last 2 days. Hope it's at least slightly warmer by you.

Close to 60 here in seattle.. with a little rain of course. As for a date, early june?
Does saturday June 9th work for everyone? I guess I will take charge. I say we can meet at Magnuson park (Big parking lot) and meet eachother and share our cars. Then we can set out for a day of driving up to Mt. St. Helens. The drive time is 2 hours and the views are incredible. Make sure you come loaded with fuel. More info coming soon, spead the word to Seattle X5 owners.
Sounds good as long as the weather cooperates and no one else minds the long drive, any other suggestions on location? 2 hours is a bit long especially with gas prices these days :)
Did St. Helens 8 yrs ago coming up I-5 - nice sign tells you visitor center only afew miles off the interstate, when you get there you find out the REAL visitor center is another 40+miles on a 2 lane road at speed limit 45mph - Granted it was an awesome sight and I'm glad I went, but it's a long way in and a long way back.
The June date is too soon for me. I'll give y'all a headsup if I make it out that way again. Seafair's a big pull for me so maybe then. |
Seafair in early august?
Yea, early Aug might work, Glacier should be thawed enuf to visit by then - only trouble with this retirement gig is there sometimes TOO much to do and plans change - options & possibilities can be as schedule restricting as having a job - so much to do, so little time to do it - alot are "once-in-a-lifetime" and I promised myself I would try not to miss them like I had to when I was working (ie commissioning of a Trident sub with an overnight ride, being introduced to Prince Charles are two I had to give up "because of work") - Some are on my "wish list" of things I'd like to experience or see - Like I said, there's more to retirement than being a couch potato.
Bump. Still any interested during sea fair time (Begining of Aug.)?
Portland here.....keep me in the loop on the time/ date....
What does everyone wana do? I think we should take a drive around seattle, bellevue, or greater area then go get some lunch somewhere or something?
bumb anyone?
Guess not, haha....
I see Imola around all the time, over here. Anyone else seen my X5 driving around? |
