GTG this Saturday
 

Anybody else in this forum going this Saturday?

This is open to all bimmer owners spread the word. I'm heading out there.

DATE: SATURDAY MAY 26th

TIME: Event will begin at 10:30am, BBQs will light up at 11am

LOCATION: River Bend Park Picnic Pavilion, Great Falls, VA

I am going to try to make it, probably driving the Z4 instead of the X.

Never been to a local CCA event before though.

Same here -- this is my first bimmer and GTG so totally newbie!

I saw the post about this at e90post...only 5 or 6 people confirmed from that group so far.

You ever been to this park before? I don't get out to Great Fall$ too much.

Having way more fun with the Z?

If the weather is nice (and my X is back from the dealer) I may drive down!

I'm pretty sure Matt (AzNMpower32) will be there with his X3.

Never been to this place nor BIMMER GTG -- total NEWBIE! -- I'm A BENZO FAN -- now both!

Scratch me from the list...my dog is going to the groomer on Saturday.

So I'm planning to head out there around 11 anyone else?

I can't guarentee, but there's a decent chance I'll head out there. So what car can I identify you with?

If I go, I'll bring a few bags of ice. I took a peek at who's bringing what, and it seems like there could be more people bringing ice. Edit: I see soda is in short supply. Maybe two 2 litre bottles of soda.

K. I doubt you'll be the only silver X5. There's a better chance of me being the only X3.

Marta is driving the X5 and scraping the 20"s against every curb she can these days:D Actually, I'm quite bitter about that!

M5 looks better with the M6 19" double spoke alloy wheels.

I kinda sorta wished I'd gotten a joyride in the M3. SG knows what I mean ;). Plus, I wish people could be more creative when it comes to ordering colors. An entire sea of Space Gray and Sparking Graphite (let's be honest, they're pretty darn similiar) 3-series doesn't really create an appeal. Where's the red or the Mystic or Montego Blue?

great pics...I checked the pics over @ E90W, great pics there too. Matt, the pic of the open hood E92 with you opening the hood in the background is priceless! I looks like you are holding the hood open with some sorta force field :rofl:

LOL. Yea they were tinkering with the DME software on that 335i coupe next time mine. As I'd expected, when it was all put back together, it wasn't working right and the computer threw a couple codes, running on reduced power. We joked that he had accidently set it to subtract 80hp instead of adding hp! :rofl:

Uh, yea that was about it. :excited:. One X3, one X5, there was one Z4, a couple E36s and a couple M3s, both convertibles.

Those are NICE rims. Look snazzy, and hide the brake dust very well! :rofl:. I almost didn't notice it was a non-sport 328xi. (Until I saw the non-sport seats)

My wheel arch fenders are wider than anyone elses' :nanana:. Now I just wish I had bigger wheels to fill up that space.....

It was one of many distinctions I had. I also had the biggest cargo capacity, biggest moonroof (conv'ts dont count), and best backseat and headroom. HA TAKE THAT!

I was hoping a couple more from X5 forum but overall it was fun and so far the most organized -- Great food!
