trueX5er 11-12-2007 12:16 AM

sweet pics!
Wish you were in IL, I'm getting the Saab detailed tomorrow, who knows what kind of job will be done, but certainly not as good as you guys do

cmyX6go 11-12-2007 05:34 AM

I'm interested. Any ideas on when and where?

blackbeauty 11-12-2007 09:49 AM

I'm interested as well. Although, CT may be too far for me...

Phil: I'm purchasing the 4.6 rear & front bumper soon for my 3.0. Once I receive it I will then get it painted then wait till early spring (If I can wait that long) to put it on.

Do you advise a good detail before or after the new bumpers get put on? Or both?
Maybe it does not matter...I was just assuming since the bumpers will be freshly painted and my car obviously is not...
On top of that winters can be harsh on paint.

Thx!

detailersdomain 11-12-2007 09:57 AM

cmyx5go, it will be in NJ once I kick this cold....it will be in Nov, it will be inside, just working out some details :)

blackbeauty, I would ask the bodyshop that you are painting the bumpers with what you can do to the bumpers after you get them painted. Its always a good idea to keep your paint on the car protected that won't affect anything on the bumpers.

blackbeauty 11-12-2007 10:01 AM

yeah, the bumpers will be stored for at least a month or two before they go on. i don't want to put them on my X in the middle of the winter, yk?

edco 11-12-2007 06:59 PM

I'm in for one, and possibly 2..

Definitely the wife's E46 Vert
Possibly my 06X5

Thanks Phil

How about this Sunday the 18th, I have a window tint guy and a clear bra installer in hand.

Let me know how many of you are good for this date and I can start filling in the list. Depending on what people choose I can figure 8-10 cars.

Let me know.

Phil

Update:

Here is what I was thinking:

Std: $125 cars and $150 for SUV's
Wash
Clay
Sealant
Windows
Tires dressed

Options:
1. Paint correction 1 or 2 step polish with Menzerna products: $50-100 depending on what is needed

4. Carpets cleaned with extractor --$30-50
5. Engine detail - $50
6. Door jambs cleaned and sealant - $30

Let me know if you would be interested and I can figure out a place/time/and date.

Update address: 92 Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604 this is Nelson from Clear Films new digs.

We will also be figuring out a group deal on clear bra and window tinting.

cmyX6go 11-12-2007 07:08 PM

Count me in. I'll do the standard exterior plus the interior wipe down and leather clean/condition.

edco 11-12-2007 07:57 PM

Phil:

How long will it take to do a convertible (per our private discussion I will bring the top cleaner and conditioner).

I need to know because Sundays are my wife's "duty" days to take care of her mom, who is not far from Hasbrouck Heights.

Do you think if I get there by 9 I would be done by 12?

Same as L above (standard exterior plus leather interior clean/condition)..

Thanks
ED

LeMansX5 11-12-2007 08:14 PM

Interested in std. + Option 1, but I can only do weekdays.

r6girl 11-12-2007 08:55 PM

detailersdomain 11-12-2007 11:59 PM

brian5 11-13-2007 07:24 AM

Phil,

Can you do another Std + Option 1 + Option 3? There may other options that you recommend for a brand new X5 too...

I get my X5 tomorrow. Have to come from CT but according to Google Maps, it's just over an hour.

Would definitely be interested in early time.

<<Edited to remove my note about clear bra. Decided against doing that>>

Thanks . . . . Brian

edco 11-13-2007 01:17 PM

Phil:
Still need to know if I can get the wife's convertible done in 3 hours..including the top (which I'll bring the cleaner/conditioner)

Specifically, in by 9 out by 12..

Thanks
Ed

Will be up in NJ starting 16 Dec with my 2001 X5 - It could use some help - would rather you take a look to evaluate what needs to be done and your recommendations - will contact you before I get up there and arrange for meet then, if that's okay with you - also having my bluetooth installed up when I get up there - It's really tough to discover really good people to trust your car with - thank you for your help

detailersdomain 11-17-2007 10:13 PM

x5flyboy, look me up when you are up here.

See you all tomorrow.

cmyX6go 11-18-2007 12:51 PM

Hey Phil,
Thanks! You and the guys did a great job shinning up my girl. Of course it started to rain as soon as I hit the road :( but she does bead nice.

If anyone is sitting on the fence about getting a good detail before winter, go see Phil. He's the man.

Eugene took a bunch of pictures. The finish on his X looks like glass

edco 11-18-2007 03:01 PM

Phil:
Let me echo L's sentiment. My wife was STUNNED by how beautiful the car came out, especially the interior. You and your team did a WONDERFUL job, at a terrific price.

Yeah, it would have been better to not have to wipe it down after driving home in the rain, but it's looking pretty gorgeous. And my bride is DE-LIGHTED ! Phil, thanks a million !

Here's a few pix (my wife's 325Ci vert, TQ2K, CmyX5go) and Phil and team..

Definitely recommend Phil for detailing.:2thumbs:
