AutoXer 10-22-2005 07:23 PM

oh yeah specs and MODS too

Quicksilver 10-22-2005 08:07 PM

SWEET. Wish I could be there. That picture with the X's all lined up is off the hook. Is someone posting a Blog for the daily activities? How about individual pictures with names? Have a great time and keep the pictures coming.

pepatrick 10-22-2005 08:50 PM

:withstupi I second that on the username-face matching. Looks like you guys are havin a great time :) .

pepatrick 10-22-2005 08:59 PM

Im the one with the kids...:D My son is a big time X5 fan after the wreck we were in a couple of months ago. He walked away with out a scratch and thinks it is the safest vehicle on the road. I have to agree.

Really glad you could make it up here. You are right, a truly great bunch of people.

Here's a few more pics...

Ps... check out the M steering wheel surpise for the host!

A few more...

Did the best I could with names, but a.) I am terrible with names and b.) everybody called each other by their ID not their real name!

First Pic: Eric (Ekaz), Juan (Kaefer), Alain (Alpac), Jeff (UCrewX5)

Second Pic: David (Motordavid), Drex (Drex), Kevin (ncx), Rob (Rob_)

Third Pic: Philip (pepatrick, with kids Jessica and Robbie), JV (JVZ104), Tijan (tijanaw), Eugene (TQ2K)

pepatrick 10-22-2005 09:44 PM

Naturally, I liked all the X5s at the meet today. I think TQ2K had one of the best looking X5s at the meet. I like the all white with the 4.8 body kit and the truffle brown leather. Robs was right up there too with the front skid plate. The 4.6 and 4.8...well..we are kind of a unique group...but damn...EKAZ..that thing sounds incredible. Ive never heard an X5 sound like a NASCAR race car.

My only regret is I could not stay longer. Next time...I will... We should do this more often and I would even consider hosting it up on the north end of Atlanta. We have a great clubhouse with good amenities and a golf course.

Does he have a modified exhaust, and also the M-spoke steering wheel, is that standard in any X5, or is it aftermarket only?

ekaz 10-22-2005 10:15 PM

It was great to meet everyone, it was a great time!
Juan, thanks again for getting this whole thing together (hopefully Rob torqued that steerin wheel down :bustingup :bustingup )
Kevin, yes you did get all the names right. Send me a PM with your address, didn't the wifey want some deep dish sent from Chicago?
Don't remember if it was posted, but we lined up for the picture in the order of our X's parked (I'm on the left and my X is at the left side of the line-up).
Phillip, any exhaust shops open on Sunday around you? I couldn't believe the difference in sound. It isn't obtrusive when cruising either. I used 2.5" stainless pipes, no X-pipe.

Juanted 10-23-2005 12:02 AM

Same here When's the westcoast meet? who wants to volunteer to put it together? :p :D Glad everyone had a great time :D what was the surprise?

PersonaNonGrata 10-23-2005 05:27 AM

Thanks for posting the pics guys. It looks like you all had a great time. I also sounded like you guys had a great time. I was glad that I could make a phone call and make my appearance telephonically. Juan: When I was talking to you I was thinking about your M steering wheel. A little bird told me about the surprise for you. Did they get it installed without you knowing about it? You know, that gift was well deserved and shows the level of class we're dealing with. To the guys who pitched in for it, you guys are awesome. Kick ass!

Juanted 10-23-2005 06:09 AM

Yes, these guys are indeed awesome! I am soo touched by that.

I had no idea what they were doing. I had a little movie together, and was showing it to the crowd. It is an 8-minute video. In that 8 minutes, Rob (who had gotten my keys from my wife), switched the wheels.

Of course, stupid me, when they took me to the car, I looked right past the steering wheel and was looking at the fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror JV had bought at a truck stop. They had said they'd done something, so I'm looking around the inside of the car... just NOT the steering wheel! Only when I was stepping OUT of the car did I notice the wheel! :wow: I think I screamed "Oh my GOD!" and -- I swear, I am not lying -- my heart skipped a beat. Incredibly Amazing!! I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am. It was waaay too much, and more than I deserved.

Thank you so very much, guys.

Juan

SuaveX5 10-23-2005 09:28 AM

What a very cool get together. Juan and NCX...I will let you guys know the next time I am in Charlotte. Lets get together again...and have a mini X5 meet.

Yeah, I know! :(

It was sad saying good-bye to everyone last night, and even sadder saying good-bye to Drex and Jeff this morning... We must do this more often.

Juan

pepatrick 10-23-2005 10:39 AM

Lets see...I planned on leaving at 3:30 and didnt leave until 4:30.. The wife said...I figured you would not leave until 6:00...because I know how you are with these things...She was really cool about it. I still got home in time to take her out to celebrate her finishing dental assistant school. Next time...she will join us.

Philip!

Glad to hear that it turned out great for you and the CEO. It was great meeting you in person!!!

Now I'm more curious how you pulled off all the installations/mods you have on your X5 with a very happy and active daughter and son.

pepatrick 10-23-2005 01:19 PM

My son helps. He loves helping me do stuff on the X5. I is very attentive to detail so he points out things that I miss. My daughter usually is playing with friends, but sometimes she will sit and watch. They know I have an X5 addiction..and they support it..:D

vinuneuro 10-23-2005 01:21 PM

Glad you guys had a great time :) .

edgarces 10-23-2005 02:12 PM

You guys are the best. Looking at the pictures, I wish I was there too. I even feel like I know all of you for a long time already.

Hey, here's an idea - next meet will be in Maui. Bring your X5s!

Seriously, great job Juan and my compliments to all who attended to make this forum more family-oriented, or in our island we call such group our "Ohana" :D
