Back home in G.I., MI - pics taken on journey with ekaz

I departed Juan's this morning around 9:00 a.m. and arrived home around 7:00 p.m. It's a little over 700 miles and the journey took me 10 hours, so you do the math. Not too bad of time, considering rest area, fuel, and meal stops ;)

Shortly after leaving Juan's I called Eric (ekaz) to find out if he had left yet. It turns out that he was only 5 miles ahead of me, so we hooked up and caravaned together for most of the journey. Our paths went separate ways in Lexington, Kentucky when he pealed off to head towards Chicago via Indy and I continued north on I-75 to MoTown.

Below are some pictures of the journey home. Motordavid, you'll probably recognize several of the ones that I took near Waynesville :D

Thanks again to everyone for a GREAT weekend. Juan was a spectactular host and all of the participants (in person and virtually) were a blast to hang with. I wish it could have lasted longer.

UCrew: FineAzz pics! Yes, I do recognize All the highway points...

Ummmm, 10 freaking hours?! Does your CEO know that, lol!

Great to meet and hang with you. Glad you could roll by the motel on the Mtn.
You and Drex are First Class and a real "pair" of busters. Good to read you are home safely. Don't work too hard this week...we'll be thinking of you at your joint, lol!

Yup, I agree with Kevin!

It is your and Drex's dedication that keep this thing running, and we wholeheartedly appreciate it. Thanks SO much for making the trip, and for everything else you do for this online community.

By the way, I saw a pattern in those pics: most of them were taken from the left lane... :D

You guys passed close by me........I live in Knoxville. I should've made the trip too, but I had too much work to do.............
Maybe next time I can make it.........

Too much work...what kind of excuses are these. I drove up 3.5 hours up...to spend 2.5 hours there and drove back. Next time...no excuses...everyone must show up...

I like the old 635csi. That is about the only mass produced BMW series I have not owned. The only other is an 8 series...and I will probably have to buy one of those eventually. My favorite other than the X5 is a 5 speed 1988 735i and 6 speed 1995 540i. Those were very memorable cars.
