I know its not legal to do in California for more than 30 days or until your plates arrive and the plates have to be registered to the vehicle. Have seen them for sale on eBay after ED folks take them off.
By the way it looks like you guys had a whale of a time. Myself and the other X owner on this board Ajogu are looking to get together and take some pictures. Then you can ask me what a California registered X is doing in Europe. :wow:
BTW if anyone is considering driving around Europe for a year I can certainly advise them on all the technicalities of shipping and insuring your car for driving around Europe. :thumbup:
